At a time when the African contemporary art scene is becoming increasingly prominent, the association Pour l'art pour l'Afrique presents the second edition of its event Traversées africaines which will take place from 5 to 22 May 2022. For the second consecutive year, the public is invited to discover artists and works from the African continent and its diaspora through a journey between different galleries in Paris.

Supported by the Ile-de-France Region, the Traversées africaines project gathers about twenty galleries in the Paris region and the artists they represent. With a varied programme, from drawings to installations, from textiles to paintings, Pour l'art pour l'Afrique invites you to join them on this artistic journey highlighting unique cultural sites. Traversées africaines aims to open the doors of cultural places that are often free and open to everyone in order to help them discover, in the spring of 2022, other ways of creating and seeing the world.
